Your gifts, both large and small, will help us provide a therapeutic community for individuals returning form Vermont correctional facilities.
On June 4 at 6:00 pm, Hartford Dismas House is hosting comedian Ali Siddiq at the Lebanon Opera House for an hour of heartfelt comedy, exploring what its like to come back from incarceration. Through humor, Ali teaches us all that we can rise together as a community. Most of us know someone who has been incarcerated, battled with addiction, or struggled with mental health issues and who might benefit from safe, sober, affordable, and supportive housing as they reclaim their lives. Your sponsorship of our comedy production helps Hartford Dismas House keep our doors open and supports people working to rebuild their relationships, to find and keep jobs, to reconnect with community.
In addition to headliner Ali Siddiq, our event features three extraordinary women:
· Honorary Chair: Congresswoman Becca Balint, Vermont’s first woman elected to the US House of Representatives and Honorary Chair
· Father Jack Hickey Award: Barbara Couch, President, Hypertherm HOPE Foundation
· Jonathan G. Silvia Award: Tracy Dustin Eichler, Director of the Dartmouth Center for Social Impact
