Dismas House in Rutland seeks a 24-hour per week Assistant House Director for our friendly, safe and sober, transitional house for individuals leaving Vermont’s prisons and starting new lives. Possibility of additional hours on weekends, bringing the position to full-time, and benefits eligibility exists. The Assistant House Director (AHD) assists with both administrative and residential life areas, coordinating daily volunteers and interacting with our residents to support residential needs. The AHD maintains digital and paper records and databases, donor and grantor correspondence and deposits, and performs basic office functions. Supports fundraising events, paper and social media publications, and selected committees. Some non-traditional hours required. Bachelor or Associates degree and two years of experience in related skill areas, or equivalent, is required. Strong computer skills, detail orientation and excellent interpersonal skills are essential. Experience with challenged or marginalized populations a plus.
